Customer is
responsible for site preparation.
Only 6' & 8' wide sheds can
be set on blocks.
10' and 12" wide should not be set on blocks.
To
begin, choose a site that is accessible by a full size pickup truck and
trailer that will be carrying your new built shed. Be aware of mud,
overhead branches, wires, etc. and clearance on the sides must be
several feet wider than the shed unless it is a straight line and on
level ground. If the site is not accessible when we arrive, there will
be a minimum $75 return trip fee.
The site that you choose
should be fairly level, and in a well drained area. If the ground needs to be leveled, use a load of #57
or any inexpensive gravel (not pea stone). The usual depth should be
about 3 inches, more in the low spots. Make the pad about a foot wider
than the shed, if you are going to put down a gravel base, make sure
that it is level, not just that it looks level (looks can be deceiving).
If you wish, you can make a "box" out of 4x4s or 6x6s for the gravel. |
